Meet The Owner
Annetta Childs is a New York State Licensed Massage Therapist with more than 18 years of experience helping individuals relieve pain, restore function, and improve their overall health through compassionate, evidence-informed therapeutic bodywork. She is the founder and owner of Choose Massage LLC, where she is committed to providing personalized care that supports healing, recovery, and lifelong wellness.
Her passion for the human body began while earning an Associate of Applied Science degree in Mortuary Science from Hudson Valley Community College. During her studies, she developed a profound appreciation for human anatomy and physiology, inspiring her to pursue a career centered on healing and improving quality of life. She continued her education at Orange County Community College, earning an Associate of Applied Science degree in Massage Therapy and becoming a New York State Licensed Massage Therapist.
Throughout her career, Annetta has pursued extensive continuing education to provide her clients with the highest level of care. Her advanced training includes Medical Massage, Manual Lymphatic Drainage, Post-Operative Recovery Massage, Prenatal and Postpartum Massage, Hospice Massage, Hospital-Based Massage, Body Contouring, Wood Therapy, Stretch Therapy, and other therapeutic techniques designed to reduce pain, improve mobility, decrease swelling, and support the body’s natural healing process.
Every treatment at Choose Massage LLC is thoughtfully tailored to the individual. Rather than offering a one-size-fits-all massage, Annetta carefully assesses each client’s goals, health history, and physical condition to create a customized treatment plan that promotes lasting results. Whether working with clients recovering from surgery, managing chronic pain, navigating pregnancy, healing after childbirth, recovering from cancer treatment, improving athletic performance, or simply seeking stress relief and relaxation, she believes every person deserves compassionate, individualized care.
Annetta’s commitment to supporting families naturally expanded beyond massage therapy. She completed her Birth Doula training and later earned certification as a Childbirth Educator, allowing her to provide evidence-based education along with continuous emotional and physical support throughout pregnancy, labor, birth, and the postpartum period. Her background as a massage therapist provides her with a unique understanding of body mechanics, comfort measures, pain management, and hands-on techniques that help birthing families feel supported throughout their birth experience.
Her dedication to compassionate care also led her to complete End-of-Life Doula training, where she learned to provide non-medical emotional, physical, educational, and spiritual support to individuals nearing the end of life while guiding and comforting their families through one of life’s most meaningful transitions.
In addition to Choose Massage LLC, Annetta is the founder and owner of Labor To Reward Doula Services LLC, where she serves as a Birth Doula, Abortion Doula, Adoption Doula, End-of-Life Doula, and Childbirth Educator. Together, her two businesses reflect a lifelong commitment to caring for individuals and families during some of life’s most significant moments.
Known for her warm presence, attentive listening, and clinical approach to therapeutic care, Annetta believes healing begins by meeting each person exactly where they are. Whether helping someone recover from surgery, preparing for childbirth, easing chronic pain, supporting postpartum healing, or providing comfort during the final stages of life, her mission remains the same: to deliver compassionate, evidence-informed, client-centered care that honors the dignity, goals, and unique journey of every individual.
